Honestly I can't get over how similar the aesthetic of Tempest Shadow is to Slyphstorm. Slyphstorm is a brony (My Little Pony fan) musician. Several of his music videos feature a hexagonal design with a central cage and a grid pattern lit from below. The MLP movie uses red lighting and he uses blue, and the location of the lighting is opposite. In the MLP movie the light comes from between the grid outside of the paths, and in SlyphStorm's videos the light comes from the grid on the paths. But even so, the overall effect is eerily similar. I would put this down to coincidence, but I can't. It's insane how many references there are to brony creations in MLP canon, which would go over the heads of anyone who doesn't know what's being referenced, but which are incredibly obvious to anyone who does. Some of the references are incredibly obvious, but slightly disturbing, because they mean that the people who created _My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic_ aren't merely aware of explicit fan creations, but familiar with them, to the extent that they can quote them and copy designs from them. John De Lancie (Discord's voice actor) referred to "clopping" in a song, should we be surprised?

When I first watched this movie I didn't expect to like it as much as I did but it surprised me, one of Disney's best CG films to date if I'm honest.

Someone told me that the scene where they bathed the stink/river spirit was Hayao Miyazaki's direct commentary on pollution, apparently, he saw a bike pulled from a river in real life and he felt compelled to put messages of humans destroying nature in his films. The same is the case of Princess Monoke, which, if you haven't watched is a must if you ask me. It might be my favourite Ghibli film. Also I just want to say that as an emetophobe this is the only film I really watch and don't mind a vomit scene from which is really saying something about this movie's craft.

3 things, but first to be clear i still think Blitzo was an asshole to many people. my comments below are not trying to negate or ingore the faults or mistakes Blitzo made. however everyone seems to be on team Stolas. so his point doesnt need to be explained by me. 1. The Striker incident isnt fair. He was taking his daughter to the vet for her mandatory shot so she doesnt get sick because he cares for Loona. And he knows he is the only one She trusts enough to bring her. To add to that point Stella ordered intial hit, that Blitzo DID stop, and openly talked about it on the phone right across from Stolas. If stolas had bothered to listen to her he wouldve known about the first hit., and a potentional follow up. 2. Stolas claims he never looks down on Blitzo, but he refers to Blitzo as " imp" many times, which in Blitzos experiecne is an insult, of rank and class. Not to mention, Blitzo was BOUGHT for loose change, and a condom. by Stolas's father. to be his friend. As far as Blitzo is concerned he is just Stolas's pet, a thing to amuse him. and Stolas hasnt done that much to break that sterotype. Stolas hasnt one time asked Blitzo how HE feels in the relationship. Stolas assumed he felt trapped or caged, but BLitzo felt fine as he said " it is a tranactional fucking" Stolas added his own opinions, forced them on Blitz, bumrushed him with an ultimatum. and then refused to try and understand how Blitzo felt. 3. Notice how Blitz slides between the banisters mimicking being a prisoner, but Verosika kicks the bannister so she can be free and have her legs normal. he feels trapped even though he was given "freedom" from stolas.
